Can I Enroll for my Benefits at home? If so how?

To use Employee Self Service, you will need a Mayo Clinic computer. If you are unable to access a computer on campus, you can call HR Connect at 1-888-266-0440 to enroll. Robert

I am retiring at the end of this year pre- Medicare age. I would like to investigate my options before the end of December. Where can I find medical plan information as I am not eligible for open enrollment?

This question is in regards to the additional $1000 orthodontic coverage under the delta deluxe option: Can you provide a more detailed explanation of what “active orthodontic treatment as of 01/01/2018” means? Does it mean that braces have already been applied? What if there is a treatment plan in place and an estimate given but the actual “work” hasn’t started? Thanks in Advance.

I'm curious to know if those using the Vision Plan are happy with the coverage. My family is looking at two who need new glasses this next year and am willing to go outside of Mayo for vision services. What in-network provider are you happy with? Looking forward to any comments...

Renee, you ask a great question. I think the language that you are referring to would be better stated if it was changed to "active orthodontic treatment on or after 01/01/2018". The idea that we were trying to communicate is simple. For those who are continuing with Delta Dental, but moving from the standard option to the deluxe option, the additional $1,000 can only be used for charges incurred on or after 01/01/2018. You can't use the new benefit amount to go back and pay additional amounts on services that you had in 2017 or earlier. Does that help?

Brenda,
I switched to Sam's Club this year and was really happy with the service and the Dr. She was very thorough and explained what she was doing and why. When the frames of my glasses broke a few months later (my fault), Sam's totally covered the cost of new frames and lenses in a new style. They have a large array of frames to choose from, but available only in the sizes displayed. I had no problem using the vision insurance and it was well received by the staff.

The whole family went to Target Optical for glasses and contacts. I didn't do the math, but I'm relatively sure the partial coverage (my daughter has expensive taste :))exceeded my annual premiums.
