Celebrity Cruise - Western Caribbean

Hi everyone, Just got back from another wonderful vacation and want to share! We took a cruise to the Western Caribbean on Celebrity cruise line. The itinerary was as follows:
-Miami
-Key West
-Grand Cayman
-Cozumel
-Costa Maya
-Miami

This was a great way to see many places that we have wanted to go to. My favorites were Key West and Cozumel!

In Key West we took a trolley ride around the island. We stopped at the Hemingway House and did the guided tour – very interesting! We also stopped at Sloppy Joe’s for lunch, had a drink at the original Margaritaville, and got key lime pie.

In Cozumel we did an excursion called Salsa and Salsa which was so fun! We learned how to make 6 different salsas and learned how to dance the salsa – they have locations in Cozumel, Mazatlán, and Cabo!

Overall, we liked the Celebrity cruise line, but probably won’t go on a cruise again anytime soon, since we really enjoyed our time on land. The ship (the Equinox) was in good shape and everything was pretty much as to be expected when on a cruise. With that said, there were a few things that I noticed about Celebrity that I thought were cool: (1) the entertainment was a total A+ (2) this line is geared toward adults, so they put $$$ into adult activities (production shows, spa, food pairing, art classes, etc.) and (3) the specialty dining was really great.

I hope someone finds this helpful. Next, we’re off to Myrtle Beach, SC – which is one of my favorite destinations. I’ll write more on that location if anyone’s interested!

Happy travels, Natalie

I did the salsa and salsa excursion in Cozumel too. Lots of fun! Highly recommend.
