Male/female roommate to share 2br/2ba apt 8 min walk to Mayo: July 1

Posted by aidanshields25 @aidanshields25, Mar 15, 2023

Do you like to sleep in as long as possible and then just have a quick 8 minute walk to work to both St. Mary's and Methodist (versus waking up extra early to have time to wait for public bus OR drive to parking lot and wait for shuttle OR drive in and pay for garage parking)?

Do you NOT want to scrape snow and ice off your car at 6 am in -10 degree weather just to drive to a bus stop and wait for the next shuttle (and repeat at the end of a LONG day)?

Do you want to live in an apartment where all your utilities (except electricity which is usually only about $20/month) are included so that you aren't dreading the expensive, unpredictable utility bills for those really hot summer days or really cold winter months?

Do you want to live in a newer, nice apartment with your own bedroom with a large walk-in closet and your own private bathroom instead of living in an old house sharing bathrooms with several other people like you you did in college (and don't get me started on what it's like to share one refrigerator between many people)?

Do you want to sleep in peace after pulling several consecutive 12 hour shifts in a well soundproofed apartment located in a quiet neighborhood with houses and not a large, noisy apartment complex?

Do you want to roll up to Rochester this summer in your car and be able to move into a stocked apartment except for your bedroom furniture?

Do you want a roommate who cleans up after himself unlike your college roommates?

Do you want to live one block away from Mayo's awesome health club?

Do all of your friends and family think you are crazy for moving alone to Minnesota just so you can work at Mayo? If so, do you want to move in with a roommate who has been through this process the year before and can help you navigate it all?

Do you long to be a part of a pub trivia team that is weak at pop culture (hint hint)?

Details: I am a MICU RN who moved last summer from Virginia and have been sharing a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with a friend who is moving in with her boyfriend at the end of our lease on July 1st. Currently $950 each per month which includes all utilities except electric (about $20/mo), an underground garage parking space, and in-apt unit washer/dryer. If you don't want/need parking space, we could have that removed from rental agreement and your rent reduced since my current roommate and I both wanted to pay extra for the parking garage convenience. I love this apartment and location, so I am looking for a new roommate to resign lease with.
