Dec 11, 2017 · Help for Simplifying the Holidays in Go Green

In my family, we haven’t done gifts for adults for years, unless it’s edible or homemade. Not a hard and fast rule, but generally followed among all adults.

I love your experience gift idea. I also like the idea of four gifts for kids that I’ve read about: something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read. My husband and I aren’t great about that for kids, but we’ll get there!

@ambercaron We have done this as a team for several years in Communications. It was through Lutheran Social Services, as Treasure mentioned. The gift drop off was last week, but I could get a contact name for you in case there are any outstanding needs.

In addition, your local school, preschool or church might be organizing something, such as collecting money for Toys for Tots or organizing hat/mittens/socks drives.

Oct 26, 2017 · Potential Puppy- advice needed in Just Want to Talk

Way to be proactive! When we got our dog, 6 years ago (in the winter — NOT ideal for potty training), we lived in the country and thought we’d be there for quite a while so did not leash train or really socialize her with other dogs. Two moves later, overall she’s done well, but we’ve had some trying moments.

Oct 26, 2017 · Halloween

It’s only days away … I posted about Halloween treats in the Foodies group and trick-or-treating in the Surviving Parenthood group, but what are the adults doing for Halloween? Does anyone have any Halloween traditions or recommendations?
