Delta Dental members should plan to use their benefit before Dec. 31st

december-31

Each year, Mayo Clinic employees who are enrolled in Delta Dental plans leave behind unused dollars.

The maximum annual benefit in Delta Dental Standard option is $1,000 per person.  If you don't use all of the benefit, it doesn't rollover to the new year.  Unused amounts simply vanish and the new annual maximum becomes available.

It's probably not too late to make an appointment before the end of the year for cleanings or other dental concerns.  As long as the date of service is on or before 12/31/2017, it will come out of this years' benefit amount and you have 12 months to file the claims.

For detailed questions about Delta Dental coverage, check our HR Connect on the Mayo Clinic intranet or review the Summary Plan Description.
