Nurses, have you ever felt like no one gets it?

By Robert McGriff, @m039153

We all face challenges in our daily life but for a nurse, those challenges can be amplified by the unique situations that you encounter every day.  If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, you should know that there is someone you can talk to who will understand, another nurse.

VITALWorkLife is the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider for employees at the following Mayo Clinic locations:

  • Arizona
  • Florida
  • Gold Cross
  • Mayo Clinic Health System campuses in:
    • NWWI
    • SEMN
    • SWMN

Through their toll free number (1-800-383-1908) VITALWorkLife  provides nurse peer coaching.  You can connect with a nurse who will understand your unique perspective and who can link you to appropriate resources.  The service is provided by a nurse outside of Mayo Clinic and like all EAP contacts, the conversation will be completely confidential.

Don't burnout.  Reach out, to someone who understands.
