Finding the best way forward after a stroke.  Ischemic strokes have different causes that require individualized treatment.

An ischemic stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is reduced or stops (as opposed to a ruptured blood vessel).  There are many potential causes, including a narrowing in a large artery in the neck or in a smaller artery in the head, a clot that develops in the heart and travels to the brain, or a blood clotting disorder.
