Anyone up for playing board games?

Posted by markellman @markellman, Jun 20 2:54pm

Hello all! I am a new employee at Mayo Clinic as of this week, and I am wondering if any new (or not new) employees would be interested in getting together to play board games! Board games are a great and low-stress (unless you are competitive) way to get to know others, and I for one love making new friends. Reply to this message if you would be interested in playing some board games together in the next few weeks in Rochester!

I will be following this post. My start date is the 30th, but I will need a bit of time to get relocated and unpacked.

I am also a big time board gamer. My start date is in August and I would love to possibly start a gaming group if possible.

Honestly, I am not a big fan of board games but I am interested to meet new people especially if you are a sushi person

do you play or want to learn pickleball?

For board games, perhaps some time next week or the following would work for people! I am generally available after 4 pm on weekdays right now.

@whimsy @chaseb I love a game night! I know a game called Nertz which is a competitive fast paced solitaire that's super fun. I could teach everyone if we get a game night going.

I'm pretty busy/going out of town in the next 2 weeks, but mid/late August let me know!

@meaganmultz @whimsy @chaseb We could plan for next week sometime if it would work for all of you for board games! Perhaps there is a place downtown (somewhere on the sprawling Mayo campus) that could work for everyone? Any ideas of other places we could meet?
