Take Your Break: May 21-June 17
Employees are encouraged to take a few minutes each day to get away from their desks or work spaces and enjoy the benefits of taking a break during the workday. Why? They average person is sitting (aka average) for 12 hours a day.
This 4-week challenge will motivate you to give yourself permission to use your breaks and do something great for your health and well-being. Incorporate small bursts of healthy activity into your workday to help rejuvenate, refocus and recharge. Everyone is encouraged to partake - whether you're active. sedentary, or stressed - we can all benefit by taking breaks. Plus Mayo Clinic policy approves breaks, so let's make the most of them!

I'm posting this on behalf of our HR department; they gave me permission! I took this photo when I joined them for a walking break a few weeks ago. The department has made it a good-weather routine to post a walk reminder on their Well Space three times per week.
Yesterday's Take Your Break/Walking Wednesday combo took us past the lovely St. Rose Convent, which is actually barely a block away from our main campus in La Crosse. We are fortunate to have such beautiful sights nearby---easily accessible by even a short walk.
That would be a great thing to see everyday! Thank you for sharing!
Very cool! Thanks Anne!
