March 25th Orientation in Phoenix/Scottsdale
Hi all! I will be starting in my new position at the School of Medicine in Scottsdale in March and have orientation on the 25th. Is there anyone else who will be attending that session? Also, I am an Arizona native, so if anybody is new to the area and would like some recommendations or suggestions of things to do/see, let me know!
Looking forward to joining the Mayo family! 🙂

Hi! I'm starting as an admin. assistant at the Phoenix campus and will be attending orientation on the same day. I'm moving in from El Paso, TX. 🙂
Hi!
I am attending orientation for the Scottsdale campus on a different day, but would love some pointers on things in the area to do or see, including dog friendly activities if you know of any!
I am starting at Phoenix on the same day too!
Awesome, I will hopefully see you there! Hope your move goes smoothly!
I'm sure I'll see you around the Scottsdale campus eventually! There are so many things to do in and around Phoenix. Lots of hiking when the weather is nice (a couple of favorites are the trails through the Phoenix Mtn Preserve/Piestewa peak. There is an easily accessible trail head at 40th St. & Shea Blvd), and plenty of things to do to cool off as well in the summer. If you haven't spent much time in Arizona, then I definitely recommend you take a day or weekend trip up to Sedona and Flagstaff. I used to live in Flagstaff and it is such a nice escape from the city/heat in summer, not to mention it's relatively close to the Grand Canyon, so if you haven't been there before, it makes it a bit easier to do it all at once. Flagstaff is extremely dog friendly as well, so we always take our dog with us up there when we visit.
