dress code
I was going through the dress code and saw the part where it talks about cosmetics, etc. It says nail polish should be conservative. I assume they mean no blue or green or any funky designs like that, correct? I sometimes wear a darker color on my nails and didn't know if dark colors were included. Silly question, I know. I will be working in a department with little to no direct patient contact

Great question! Honestly, this requirement is intentionally vague, as it will vary according to the area in which you'll work. Those in direct patient care must be ultra-conservative, to provide a professional demeanor to their patients. In other areas, such as education, administration, or research, the guidelines are not so strict but may still give pause to extremes in color or design. It sounds like you will fit right in with what you are currently using on your nails, but be sure to ask around when in doubt.
Hi @BRechtzigel thanks for the information!!! i will start March 11th a research fellowship in echocardiography at Mayo. I am from Brazil. Do I need to bring a white coat, it's possible to buy one from Mayo ?
Another great question. For your portrait, which will used on your access badge to get into the areas of Mayo Clinic you need to do your work, you are welcome to either wear professional dress or your required uniform for your job, such as scrubs for nursing. If you are unsure of the required dress for the area you will be joining, be sure to reach out to your manager or recruiter to get those details. At that same time, you could ask for the best way to obtain the required garments you will need.
@BRechtzigel thanks very much for the informations.
