First day transportation

Hey everyone!! I have my first day tomorrow at the gonda building and I am really confused about the first day transportation. I live really close to the west shuttle lot, am I allowed to use this for my first day? I was given a voucher for public transport, but I have no experience with buses/public transport of any kind so this is a little intimidating to me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!
