First Day What To Wear?

Hello! Starting out in a nurse residency I am wondering what shoes to wear and also want to make sure that wearing plain colored black scrubs is okay?

PS - Are there any regulations with respect to sneaker types or colors? (For example are higher top basketball/volleyball shoes acceptable?)
