Giving back - volunteering with other Mayo Clinic employees
Is anyone aware of any Mayo Clinic employees/groups/departments that are organizing any Volunteer Abroad Programs, Organizations, & Projects? Such as medical care in 3rd world countries.

I would be very interested in being part of a Mayo group with the shared interest of volunteer work. Before moving to Rochester last month, I used https://www.volunteermatch.org to find community projects or businesses which need our help! Just because there are currently no groups centered around this idea -- it doesn't mean we cannot reach out to coordinating teams to ask how to go about establishing one? Alternatively... we could keep it very informal and just meet up to "do our own thing" without the Mayo tag.
