Guides to living in Rochester

I will be starting at Mayo Rochester in August. As someone who is not familiar with the city, I would love to hear your thoughts on good areas to move to (safety, pricing, proximity to the grocery , public transport, etc.) Also any advice you have on moving to Rochester and a list of your favorite things to do would be much appreciated!
