Medical insurance for a baby

Hi everyone.

I am expecting a baby and I was wondering what the best plan would be - Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance or Medicare (I am not eligible for it, but I heard there are some options to put a baby on the plan independently).

If you added your newborn as a dependant to your insurance plan, how much do you pay in terms of insurance premium and how much do you usually pay out of pocket?

Any help on this to decide would be greatly appreciated.
