payroll schedule

Hi! I am a new employee starting July 29th. Can someone enlighten me as to the payroll schedule? I am trying to organize my finances to coordinate with when I get paid. So excited to start this part of my life's journey!! Thanks everyone!

Good question. If you start on July 29th, your first partial pay period will end on August 6th. Your first paycheck will arrive August 13th. After that, they appear every two weeks like magic!

Hi Barb--Does Mayo Clinic have different pay periods/pay dates for different areas? I ask because I start 7/15, and my HR Onboarding person told me that the pay period would end 7/16, and I would get paid on 7/30 just for those two days. According to her, the next pay period would start 7/17 and go until 7/31,and be paid on 8/13. This would mean I would work almost a month before getting a full paycheck. These dates that I was given don't correspond with the answer that you gave above, so I am a bit confused. That's why I wondered if different areas had different pay schedules. Thanks.

Looks like there are two payroll periods according to what I found on HR connect. I've attached the two schedules. St Marys power plant and Franklin employees have a different schedule than the other employees.

Another resource is the orange/blue calendar. The dates (Tuesdays) with boxes around them are paydays. The Tuesdays w/o box are when most staff need to approve timecards (pay day is the next Tuesday / there can be exceptions, and I am not aware of them). The shaded dates are official MC holidays. Dates with an asterisk indicate quarter change.
