Phoenix Apartment Recommendations

Posted by WhitneyGulliford @whitneygulliford, Dec 15, 2021

Hi guys,
I’ll be moving to Phoenix from Washington to start the RN residency program in January/February. I’ve only visited Scottsdale before, so I don’t know much about the whole Phoenix area. Any recommendations on good locations or apartments to live in would be super helpful 🙂 or even bad parts of town to stay away from!

Hi Whitney! As I'm sure you can tell, the cost of living is very high in Phoenix and even higher in Scottsdale. I rent an apartment in North Phoenix close to the Phoenix Mayo campus off of the 101. I've lived there for a year and a half now, and I like it. My rent has gone up as I signed a new lease but unfortunately that is happening everywhere. I think mine is relatively low compared to a lot of places and it is pretty nice. It's called Monte Viejo and it is located on Beardsley Road. Feel free to reach out if you have questions!

Hi Kristyn! I’m Julie, I was wondering if you know of anyone at the Phoenix campus who is looking for a roommate for a 2 bedroom apartment close to Mayo? I’ll be commuting on public transit there and doing occasional Lyfts back. My budget is $1,000. My start date is 9/19/2022 for right now. I’d be working in the switchboard department.

Hi! I’m actually looking to sublet my apartment that is right next to mayo because I’m moving up to Minnesota to work at the Rochester location! Kinda a nice deal since all the deposits have already been paid. So you would only need to pay the $75 application fee up front! Message or text me at 320-292-3157 if you want more info!
