POPA and Dress Code

Posted by Alissa F. @afaulkner12, Mar 3, 2019

Hi all,
I'm starting as a PCT in Jacksonville, FL Mar.25th. I was looking for some more information on what to expect at the POPA, I go for mine next week. Not sure what to expect or what to wear, any suggestions? Also, does anyone have any recommendations on where to get scrubs (Teal)?
Thank you!

I am in Rochester, but I think the details are the same. You are not required to wear specific attire when going for your POPA, but you will need to adhere to the dress code for orientation. This could consist of either business professional attire, or you work attire, such as scrubs. When in doubt, please reach out to your hiring manager to make sure you are getting the same scrubs as the team you are joining. They could very well know exactly where you would need to go to get them.

I'm in Rochester as well and I'll second to what Barb said. I just had my POPA and I was in jeans and nothing was mentioned when I did the HR forms and blood testing in casual wear. I wanted to be comfortable and was glad I did. My advice: you should drink some water before the POPA so when it comes time for the urine test you are in and out quickly. Furthermore, you can always go in earlier what they don't like is when you are late (more than 5 minutes).
