Hello! My husband and I (no kids) will be traveling to Portland this fall for a long weekend. Any must see sights, restaurant recommendations, hikes etc?
My Dad lives in Portland, Oregon for last 18 years. Had a wonderful trip there last fall. Weather was perfect! I loved the Portland Rose Gardens at Washington Park, the Portland Art Museum had wonderful things to see if you like art. Pittock Mansion was a beautiful sight - we didn't get inside because of a wedding but the grounds were gorgeous with wonderful views of the city and Mount Hood. Another wonderful find was a place called The Grotto which had wonderful outdoor space, beautiful greenery and a gorgeous view from the top of the hill in a glass enclosed building of Mount Hood. Rocky Butte was also a beautiful place to enjoy the views. Most of these places were free or lower cost. It you like to explore food trucks, they have a whole block of them semi permanently located in downtown Portland along with a vibrant Had an amazing Sunday lunch at a restaurant called Serratto - shrimp pasta that was to die for with homemade bread in their brick oven. Enjoy your trip to beautiful Portland!
