What you say and what I hear..

Sometimes work can be a struggle when . You're trying to learn new things and your coworkers. Just don't want to help and they say things to make learn yourself or in most cases wing it . Or even worse faking it till you cause an issue. Most of the time these nuances are missed by leadership. I provide some examples:
You say "this is a critical thinking job " I hear two things " you are never going to be as good i am at this. Or I don't have time to help you"
You say " you should know how to do this already" I hear " you dummy how come you don't know this yet"
You say "you are better at this than you think, trust your instincts " I hear " figure this out on your own. I don't care if you make a mistake because it's not my job to help you " some of the people I have worked with will help. Others just don't care. When coworkers are selfish it does make things harder. I usually just end up winging it and hoping for the best....
