Live music in/around Rochester

My husband and I enjoy seeing live performances, mostly rock. What are your favorite or recommended venues in and around Rochester (up to about an hour to an hour and a half drive is OK, including the Twin Cities).

wow guess no one looks at this. Hopefully you found some places!

Personally I prefer going to live performances at the local casinos - Mystic Lake and Treasure Island. I like the smaller venue. Also, Crossings in Zumbrota has some good shows. I periodically receive advance ticket sales from Ticketmaster so I am able to get some good seats. The Rochester Civic Center has started to book some better acts. I am looking forward to some shows here in town.

Ha! Thanks for the reply 😉 We've been going to The Palace in St. Paul and First Avenue in Minneapolis. Happy to keep it local if we can though.

Forgot to mention the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, IA. They often book some good shows. No seating unless you reserve a booth.

Be sure to go online and subscribe to Downtown Rochester, Minnesota. They have an Events section that tells of music around town, dates, times and costs. Also, check out the Post Bulletin 507 Section.
