Has anyone else caught the new series, "Tidying Up with Marie Kondo," on Netflix? It's providing me with good inspiration and motivation to declutter and simplify. I love seeing the before and after shots of rooms and closets. The change in participant attitudes is also noticeable after they declutter and they seem much lighter, happier, and free-er (is that a word?). I can't help but think of the sustainability benefits to living a decluttered and more spacious lifestyle - less consumerism, less waste (after the decluttering anyway), and improved mental well-being. I highly recommend the series!

I haven't seen the series, but will look for it. I did just read an article that mentioned Konda (USA Today, Jan. 7 online). The article touched on "mindful consumerism," and considers an alternate view point, of those who are "forced to live sparsely." (And, as an aside, I'm going to see if you've touched on this in the Go Green group 🙂

I had never heard of this series until yesterday, and this is the third mention. Cool - I need to check this out. I did some decluttering and organizing over the holiday break and I can attest to how much better I feel!

I just noticed this last weekend, and 2 of my friends were just this week talking about this. One said it has helped her anxiety.. I need to check this out.
