Most beautiful - Lakes District in Chile (go in our Winter/their summer). Very interesting - Cuba (not exactly frozen in time, but felt culturally suppressed). Best domestic - Bandon, Oregon (dramatic rocky beach with whale watching).
Those are amazing pictures!! I've always wanted to stay in an over the water bungalow!! I'm sure it was absolutely wonderful! I hope I'm able to do that someday!
I'm looking at going to a Sandals resort in St. Lucia for my honeymoon. They have them. The regular rate is something like $38,000 for a week. Their discounted rate right now is $17,000. Pure craziness, but if I had them money I'd definitely pay it for that experience!!
For that amount of money, you could get a pretty nice cabin aboard a Celebrity or Royal Caribbean cruise ship and include St. Lucia as a port along with many others. You can also take an excursion to Sandals for the day.
Hi Stacy -- this looks like paradise! Can you give me just a bit more info on this? I am soooo interested! What cruise line? How did you get there? What month did you go? Thanks! --Leann Wurtzel

The cruise line was the Paul Gauguin, we did a 7 day cruise but they have offerings for longer trips too. We flew to Los Angeles and then to Papeete Tahiti, catching the cruise there. We went in May, I have a friend who went in August. They do have a rainy season in December.
For a driving trip and exploring multiple national parks (US and Canadian), I would recommend the Circle Tour around Lake Superior. Spectacular scenery, you can go at your own pace, lots of oddball places to check out, you can be as active or inactive as you want. You can camp or stay in hotels all the way. A highlight was the sunset cruise at Pictured Rocks out of Munising - we had perfect weather and it was amazing.

Iceland was incredible.
I also hear the Azores are very inexpensive...I saw houses on the beach with private pools, sleep 8-10 people for less than $120/night.
Spain! I lived there for a year. Best place on earth!
