Hey Chad! If it is a 5K I usually just have 40 ounces of water and a stick of Extra gum. For longer runs I still drink the same amount of water and either have a yogurt or if I'm up early enough a PB&J sandwich and that stick of Extra gum for when I'm on the run.
All choices are great as long as it sits well in your body when you are running. Glad you found your options that work for you. Good luck!
