Dog park

Posted by Aneesha @aneesha, Jun 18, 2019

Hi there, I am new here in Rochester and was wondering which place would you think is best if I want to go running with my dog. And also a good dog park?
Also, if any of you want to set up a dog playdate, I am up for it. I have a 1.5 yr old blue heeler. 🙂

Thanks,
Aneesha

I've taken my dog to the dog parks listed in the link below! They were pretty amazing!

There's also a Quarry Hill Nature Center that's dog friendly I've taken my dog on the trails through. It's beautiful as well! I'll def get back to you about a dog date! I have a 15 lb, fesity little rescue who needs to run some energy out!

Hey! Thanks a lot! I will check out those parks!
And yes please! Would be great for a dog play date. My dog is 23 lbs, gets excited to see another dog when leashed but a complete sweetheart off leash.

If you are looking for a nice trail for a longer flat run the Douglas Trail is a great place to run, welcome to Rochester! https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_trails/douglas/index.html

We typically take our dogs to the Leashes & Leads dog park, though we've also been to the River Road dog park in RST when we lived there. There is a cost associated with L&L though, so you'll want to be aware of that. https://leashesandleads.com/dog-park/ Also, we have three westies and are down for play dates if you're ever interested. Have fun!
