Roommates Wanted in $420 4BR

Posted by codymenting @codymenting, Nov 15, 2019

Two rooms are opening up in our 4BR townhome in SW Rochester in mid-December and February (can be beginning or end). The roommate who will be staying is a research fellow at Mayo, and I work as a PCA in neurology while I go to school. The apartment is at Grandeville at Cascade Lake, located in SW Rochester, a 5 minute walk to the employee West Lot, providing free shuttle service to Saint Mary's and Downtown Mayo, and is also right next to a lake with a walking path which connects to the city trail system (very pretty sunsets!). Also included are a gym, pool, basketball court, and dog park. Rent is approximately $420 and the utilities come out to about $50 per month iirc, so this is one of the most affordable options in the city. I do have a dog, so unfortunately no other animals are allowed at the property. I am into outdoor stuff (when I have time), cooking (I'll make you food!), and mixology (you can test my creations!). I'm also a bit of a Christmas nut so be forewarned. The other roommate, Rishi, isn't home a lot but is sociable. Right now the house is all male, but I’d honestly prefer to mix it up a bit - we currently have an American, a Belgian, a Pakistani, and a Nepali, so keeping a diverse house would be cool and would be keeping with the spirit of Rochester. I only ask that you love dogs, are reasonably clean and considerate, and friendly. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi,
I will be starting as a research fellow in January or early February and I am interested. I wanted to know if the each bedroom has a separate bathroom.
Thanks,
Abby

Hi, I'm a female research trainee in neuro-surgery from pakistan. I'm looking for a room to rent starting 1st of January 2019, near the Guggenheim building. This is on the downtown campus in the corner of 3rd avenue SW and 3rd street SW! What's the distance between your locations and this one? Any help in the matter would go a long way.

I live in the Pill Hill neighborhood and work at the Stabile Biotechnology building, and it’s about a 10-15 minute walk from where I live.

Hi, do you have a minimum lease length for your renters? I know a female RN who is looking to rent month by month. Thank you, Kelly

Abby, there is a master bedroom but it is not available. The other 3 bedrooms share a full bathroom. We all have different schedules usually so it's not often an issue.

The downtown campus is about a 7 minute shuttle ride from the West Lot, and maybe a 15 minute bike ride.

Hi Kelly, the tenant would be signing onto our current lease, which we just signed until next November. However, there is only a $100 fee to break the lease. That's what the current tenants who are leaving are doing.

Both rooms are still available! Also I found out two animals are allowed so we may be able to work something out if you have a pet.
