Nursing license

Hi! I graduated this May and moved to MN from WI. I am still waiting for my ATT to take the NCLEX in MN and am supposed to start working July 5th. Does anybody know if as a new grad you can start working prior to getting your license? Or would they likely put off your start date until you get your license. Thanks!

I called yesterday and she said looking at when i graduated (May 20) “it’ll probably be awhile” 🙁

I had the same issue but a friend told me to call someone in the Board's office named May. Her number is (612)317-3091. She got everything through for me and I got my ATT the same day!

Hi, I’m just wondering so is this her official number or does she have people just call her directly? Don’t want it to be awkward lol

It's listed on the contact page for the MN Board of Nursing, so not awkward don't worry!

I’m pretty sure they’ll let you start, just not as a nurse. They’ll hire you as a tech until you pass

Yes I called this one (612) 317-3091 and got no response. Its just to frustrating to keep waiting and having no idea when you'll be getting your ATT. I also called (612) 317-3000 multiple times. They did answer but couldn't tell me when I'll be receiving it.

I am having issues with my fingerprints transferring from Illinois so I'm having to get them retaken and then driving them to the board tomorrow, which is not ideal. I am sorry that it is just as frustrating for you. When are you anticipated to start?
