Nursing license

Posted by Casi Williams @casiwilliams, Jun 3, 2022

Hi! I graduated this May and moved to MN from WI. I am still waiting for my ATT to take the NCLEX in MN and am supposed to start working July 5th. Does anybody know if as a new grad you can start working prior to getting your license? Or would they likely put off your start date until you get your license. Thanks!

You must have your license prior to your start date.

I do not have an answer to your question, but I am reassured to know I'm not the only one still waiting on my ATT.

Same! From what Iā€™ve heard MN has been really slow with out of state applications which sucksā€¦hopefully we get it soon

My start date is July 19 so I have a little more time but still super frustrating.

you can let them know and most likely you'll start at a NT, a Nurse Tech, until you pass your boards

They wonā€™t let you start until you have your nursing license. Iā€™m from Arizona getting my license endorsement and I have to have it transferred before my state date July 5th.

I had to call 4 separate times and finally I talked to a woman who pushed it through- she couldn't figure out what was taking so long. You may have to call the board- I just got my ATT today and I have applied over a month ago.
