While we cannot recommend one insurance carrier over another, a number of foreign nationals have had success in securing insurance through Gateway's Patriot Exchange Program (https://www.imglobal.com/travel-medical-insurance/patriot-exchange-program) or HTH Worldwide (https://www.hthstudents.com/). Minimally acceptable insurance is:

*Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness
*Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000
*Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the exchange visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $50,000
*A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness

For more information about the insurance requirements you can visit the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program website (https://j1visa.state.gov/sponsors/how-to-administer-a-program/) and review the section under “Insurance”.

Hi.
I wanted to ask if anyone has actually used the insurance from IMGlobal for an illness/hospitalisation?
Need to know their experience.
Thanks!!
