Apartment complexes and area of town to live suggestions?

Hi All,

I will be relocating to Rochester, MN in late January from Austin, TX as a new nurse and am looking for a 1 bedroom apartment/duplex/etc. (Not looking for roommates). I have two cats and am looking for a pet-friendly complex. Does anyone have any suggestions of good apartment complexes and/or areas of town? Also, I have heard that parking may be difficult. Do people take a shuttle or rent parking spots from others that live nearby? Any advice is appreciated!

Parking is a unique challenge in Rochester. Depending on where you are coming from, you could ride the bus, park your car at one of the Park N Ride locations, or take a charter bus from a neighboring community. If you have the chance before your orientation day, you could stop in at the Card Access Office to review your options. Otherwise, we will also have representatives on hand at each orientation session to answer any of your parking and transportation questions. They are always happy to help!
