Breastfeeding Routines

The time right after holiday or break is always the toughest part for a parent, especially while nursing. My in-laws would say the kids and babies are always so good! And then I say, that’s because they will all flip out when we get back home! Getting back into a routine or finding a routine is a rough transition. It’s one I’m not sure we ever find completely. How is this transition going for everyone? Have you found your routine? What did you learn about your routine after being out of it?

I learned that maybe I don’t need to pump as much during my 8 hour shift as I was doing before the holidays. My son is 4 months old now and has a longer duration between meals. Having some time off of work made me realize that he no longer needs to eat every 3 hours and asks for milk closer to the 4 or 5 hour mark. Now I pump twice at work and I’m a lot less stressed try to make time to go pump.
