Has anyone traveled to China recently? This will be the first guided tour we have taken. We usually figure it out as we go, so it will be different for us to travel on a fixed schedule. Any tips out there?
I have been to China in 2008, not real recently. No forks...practice your chop stick skills. There are no advanced feminine products, bring you own. It has a great and rich culture. Enjoy.
I traveled to China in October of 2017. I spent all of my time in Kunming. Kunming is a really lovely city; it stands for the "City of the Flower". It was really clean and would be exceptionally beautiful when the flowers were in bloom. The pollution levels were considerably lower and the people were wonderful. I was there for competition so 7 days of my trip were centered around team practices, racing, etc. and very scheduled. I did, however, stay for 3 extended days and did some touring. I visited the Stone Forest; the display of geology in the Yunnan province was breathtaking. I also visited the Golden Temple and learned a lot about the Chinese culture and Taoism. Our evenings were spent shopping the street market and eating popular street vendor food known as a "pancake". I didn't think I would care for China but I really enjoyed my experience.

Sounds like a great trip! I can't wait to hear all about it! I would love to go to China some day!
