Get busy now to be first in line at tax time.

Do you like to beat the crowds at tax time?  Signing up for electronic W-2 forms can put you up to 10 days ahead of the folks who wait to get their W-2 in the mail.  And the process is so simple.  Between now and January 1, follow these steps.

  1. Log in to Employee Self-Service from a Mayo Clinic computer
  2. Click Bookmarks
  3. Click Employee Self-Service
  4. Click W-2 Form
  5. Log in to W-2 form online tool
  6. Click W-2 under My Delivery Settings
  7. Enter secondary email address
  8. Select Yes
  9. Click Submit

Then, in late January, as soon as the W-2s are published, you will receive an e-mail notification with instructions on how to go to the tool and print your form.  And if your printed form gets lost or goes missing (it has happened to me more than once) you can just go back to the tool and print another.
