What restaurants do I need to know about?
I seldom get out for lunch but when I do, I get tired of going to the same three restaurants over and over. Are there any restaurants walkable from the downtown campus (I'm in the Centerplace/USBank building) that don't get the love they deserve or I may not have heard about? I don't live in Rochester, so I don't know all the foodie haunts.

So I just went to the Tinn's across from St. Mary's last Friday. I was so happy to get my fix. It has been too long. 🙂
Try their red velvet torte - it gets the thumbs up from my teenage daughter
It's not in Rochester, but you really must try Oliver's Wine Bar in Red Wing. The ambiance is wonderful and the food is terrific and very well-priced. I had Shrimp Alfredo for $15 - delicious! It is served with a very fresh and lightly dressed simple salad. We can also recommend the Ragu, either beef or pork. They have a number of small plates, tapas, which are also delicious. Be sure to try the Garlic Shrimp.
It's a lovely ride to Red Wing and you could make an afternoon and evening of the visit. There's plenty of shopping and plenty to see. Enjoy!
