I personally choose to give to Mayo Clinic as I am proud to work at one place so long. I truly hope Mayo Clinic is still here when I need care in my retirement. It is the only place I would chose to get my Healthcare.

When you work here supporting all 3 shields, you optimistically think that there isn't a challenge that we cannot solve. But when you have two friends who never knew each other fall victim to the same disease, you realize that there is more that can be done. There is more that we can all do. And one area is in ongoing research. Individually we may feel powerless; together we have hope.

I choose to give because of all the opportunities I have been able to take advantage of while working at Mayo. Surrounded by a community of giving people and chances to learn and grow, encourages me to give back.

I choose to give to Mayo Clinic for multiple reasons: Mayo Clinic has been providing world class care to my family for 5 generations; as a patient and caregiver I am able to witness the world class care we receive and I want that to always be available to the world; as an employee supporting research at Mayo Clinic, I witness firsthand the cutting edge research we are doing every day that will inform and transform the practice for years to come; I give to build upon the Mayo Brothers' legacy of philanthropy and giving back to Mayo Clinic so it can be sustained for generations to come.

I choose to give because I want to add a little more to the positive influence of Mayo through the Poverello Foundation.

I give because it is something I can do. "Those who can should..."

My wife (Patti) and I give to the "Because of you" and request that this be directed to the Poverello Foundation. It is our belief that we are all here to take care of one another and we are so very blesses to assist in a financial gift over the past few years. I would encourage all Mayo Employee's to give, a little from each of us will go a long way in assisting Mayo Clinic with giving to those less unfortunate living in our communities and around the world.

I choose to give to support the people that need help paying for their care. Everyone deserves world class care but unfortunately not everyone can afford it with this country's current healthcare system.

I give to Mayo Clinic because I am grateful. Sharing my money is a way to know I have enough and I can in some small way make a difference. It also helps me experience what Mayo Clinic benefactors experience by supporting Mayo Clinic through their personal philanthropy.

I give to Mayo Clinic not only for the care given to our patients and those of my family having been patients, I give modestly to help repay Mayo Clinic for giving my son a college scholarship.
