New Employee orientation

Posted by hefter73 @hefter73, Jun 28, 2018

Hi,
I am a new hire and I have my New employee orientation on July 9th in Rochester, MN and I was wondering how do I access the bus pass and information about directions and location of this orientation. I can't remember how to access it. Thanks for your help!

I attend new employee orientation on Monday, July 2nd. I thought I knew which insurance plan I wanted but now I'm wondering if my doctors are in the network. I live and work in the MCHS so I go to a local dentist and physical therapist that are not Mayo facilities. I clicked on the link for "more detailed information" on the "2018 Benefits Highlights" but it is not more detailed. I looked up the Mayo Medical Plan online and I have to be a current member to sign in. I hope someone will be able to look up my doctors before I sign up for benefits. Also I'd like to know what service physical therapy falls under. Specialty care, preventive care? (chart on page 16, as referenced, does not exist. There are 14 pages in the document.)

There's a reimbursement plan that covers vision and dental, a vision only, and dental only plans. I went with reimbursement.

I would ask when they get to the benefits part of the orientation, I’m sure they can explain to you what your best option would be. Good luck! I starry orientation July 30!

Welcome, @harleymama!

While specifics like this are not discussed during orientation, I believe you have some time to enroll in the right package for you and your family.

@cgmaui and @m039153, do you have any suggestions of how to proceed when @harleymama starts tomorrow?

Where can I get a map of Park and Ride locations? After orientation do we get an ID that will let is ride or is this at our cost? What is the cost per ride?

All good questions. The reception desk in Ozmun East will have all the parking resources you will need, including a map to all the Park N Ride locations. The voucher is to assure you a free ride on the morning you start, because you won't have your permanent badge yet. After that, your Mayo badge is your ticket to a free ride to the Park N Ride location you prefer throughout Rochester.

Does that apply to the city bus as well?
