Road Trip Travel

Our family of four will be taking an extensive road trip this summer and will have a lot of windshield time. We like to pack meals and snacks for in the car, but I'm running out of ideas. What food do you enjoy on a road trip? Anything your family particularly loves? Thank you!

Hi Jan,
I love the wrap idea. We love these roll-ups anyhow, but I never thought about taking them In the car. Genius! I think I've pretty much picked up everything on this thread now. This is our biggest road trip yet. I think we are well stocked at least for a bit. Kids seem to get hungrier in the car so they could surprise me. 🙂

Thanks everyone! We hit the road at noon tomorrow. I'm pretty excited! Thanks for being a part of making our family trip fun and memorable. I appreciate it.

I love road trips!! The past couple of years we have taken road trips out East to The Cap Cod. We ask each of the kids to select their favorite snacks, buy enough for a week for each one of them and the get a variety of fruits, almonds, Pistachios and nuts if no one has nut allergies. Make some PBJ sandwiches, they make very good snacks. Safe travels!

Thanks for sharing! I love these ideas. We've been packing almonds, ham sandwiches, cheese sticks, and fruit, but pistachios and PBJ sandwiches will be a nice way to change it up. We're planning a road trip to New England next summer. It will be a new, fun experience!
