POPA and immunization record

Posted by Jose Morales @jmorales182, Feb 15, 2021

Hi there.

I was wondering if someone had his/her Post Offer Placement Assessment without presenting an immunization record.

Due to the COVID situation and because I am moving from another country, I cannot get a copy of my record.

Thanks a lot for your time.

occupational health would just have to schedule you for a titer test & go based off that, congratulations!

Hi Claudia.

I think it won't be really bad like I thought at the beginning.

Thanks

I'm in Florida, and I wasn't able to bring any immunization records with me to my POPA, so they drew blood and ran titer tests, and then called me to let me know my results and whether or not I would need to come in for a vaccine. If you do have to get vaccinated again for some reason, they will not do it before your start date if it's a live virus (MMR), so you will have to go in on your first day and get that vaccination.

Ok, so super basic question- what did you all wear to your POPA and HR appointment? Scrubs? Business clothes? Comfortable casual clothes? I know the dress requirement for the campus and employees is business professional, and we're having photos for ID taken that day- should I be in scrubs for the pic or something else? Thanks in advance

Hi Cecil.
Did you bring any test with you? The email mentions that I need to take a TB test, which I think is mandatory.

Thanks

They don't do a TB test - they do a titer test. Much easier than having you come back in to have the TB test read. I didn't bring anything with me except my ID to show I am who I say I am.

I also moved from a foreign country and most of my records were not readable, so they did blood test to check my titers. For the ones needed, they vaccinated me. That's not a problem.

Were the tests free of charge?
