This New Employee page is for you. We want to help. Other new employees may be able to help too. Check out the New Employees Connections discussion group to ask a question there.
@klorentzen813, there is a fitness center on the Rochester campus called the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center (DAHLC). You will be able to become a member of the facility once you start.. You can find out more about it here - https://connect.employees.mayo.edu/page/new-employee/tab/beforeday1/#getting-around.
I'm still confused on the new relocating reimbursement . I'll be using a moving service to help me, so do I get a receipt from them and turn it into HR, or how does this whole "lump sum" thing work? Thanks! -Dani
You contact one of the two companies and set up a time. Then you fill out the form with which one you are using and if you want the lump sum. HR contacts the company and the bill is sent to HR. You pay nothing.
Thanks I am in the same situation. I was confused as well. I’m going to call HR and have them do it so I don’t have to come out of pocket with everything and then be reimbursed. I need simplicity!
Hi all. I will be starting at Mayo Clinic in a research position at the Phoenix campus by July end. It would be really helpful if I could get a little help regarding accommodation for one person and related expenses. Thank you in advance!!
Welcome, @rennyrp! There are some resources regarding moving in the Before Day 1 tab here - https://connect.employees.mayo.edu/page/new-employee/tab/beforeday1/#moving
There are also some good discussions about people moving to various sites in the New Employee Connections group here - https://connect.employees.mayo.edu/group/new-employee-connections/. I am not sure if any are relevant to Arizona, but you could check. If not, start a new discussion. Hopefully it will provide you with some tips as you plan your move to Phoenix. Best of luck!
Thank you so much! Will definitely check it out .
