Happy Friday, everyone! I've noticed a number of new followers in the past week or so. Welcome! How about a role call to introduce ourselves?
Where you're working, where you're from, one question for others, and one surprising/interesting fact about yourself.

I'll get us started 🙂

- I've been at Mayo for almost 2.5 years, so still "new" in Mayo tenure, and work in Communications in Rochester.
- I came to Mayo by way of Salt Lake City, Utah, area, though was born and raised in southwest Minnesota.
- Question for others: What's your favorite movie?
- Fact: I have a twin sister. (No, not identical.)

- I've been at Mayo for almost 2.5 years, so still "new" in Mayo tenure, and work in Communications in Rochester.
- I came to Mayo by way of Salt Lake City, Utah, area, though was born and raised in southwest Minnesota.
- Question for others: What's your favorite movie?
- Fact: I have a twin sister. (No, not identical.)

Hi Sunni! I am NOT new here, but will join in!
-I've been with Mayo Clinic for over 29 years, will hit my 30 year anniversary in October this year
-I grew up in Winona, MN, started in RST in 1988 as a medical secretary and moved to ARZ in 1994...and if you ask why I moved, my answer is "the weather!" I'm not gonna lie. I am currently a Program Coordinator in Workforce Learning.
-I love attending concerts and traveling with friends.
-I have MANY favorite movies that I will watch over and over, too many to list, but here's a few: Jaws, The Breakfast Club, Uncle Buck, Legally Blonde, etc. etc. etc...
-Fact: I'm the youngest of three and our parents have been married for over 60 years!

My favorite movie is the Titanic, mostly because it was the first movie I went to with my husband, even before we were officially dating. 🙂

– I have been at Mayo for 16 years, all in Rochester, and work in Employee Experience within Human Resources. I commute from Austin, about 50 miles from Rochester.
– I have officially lived in Minnesota longer than where I grew up, a small town in the NE corner of Montana.
– Question for others: What is your favorite hobby?
– Fact: I am a farmer's daughter and proud of it!

I’m from the Florida Keys and my interesting fact would be that I used to be a competition slalom waterskiier being that my backyard was the beach instead of a swing set..lol...

@thamernik 30 years -- wow, congrats! I can certainly relate re: the weather in MN ... my husband and I are thinking we need to seriously figure out a way to get a vacation place somewhere warmer!

Welcome, @bestela! I remember visiting the Keys when I was in 3rd grade as my mom had family that lived there 🙂 Cool fact, @ slalom skiing!

Hello! I'm Kathy and I work at the Info desks at St. Marys, sometimes the Clinic and sometimes at the Airport. It's a wonderful job because I meet and help so many people. We moved to Rochester in 2015 and I started at Mayo in 2016. We love the Rochester area and enjoy exploring different parts of Minnesota as often as we can. Minnesota is great, but we do wish it was a bit warmer. ; )
